01What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember you between pages. Some websites also use similar storage built into the browser (called local storage); we include that here too.
02The cookies we use
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
acct | Keeps a couple signed in to their account and admin panel. | 30 days |
g_… | Remembers a guest's invitation on a wedding site, so they do not have to type their code again. | Up to 400 days |
oauth | Used for a few minutes while you sign in with Google, to keep that sign-in secure. | 10 minutes |
Local storage
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
gs-map | Remembers which islands you have already opened on a couple's story map. | Until you clear it |
start-form | Keeps what you typed on the sign-up form while you sign in with Google. | Until you close the tab |
03Other companies
When you pay, you do so on Stripe's own checkout page, which sets its own cookies to prevent fraud; see Stripe's cookie policy. Some of our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but does not set cookies for us. We do not use any analytics or advertising cookies.
04Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you do, you will not be able to stay signed in, and guests will need to enter their code each time.
